TUFTS MEDICAL CENTERS WEIGHT AND WELLNESS CENTER AT SIGNATURE HEALTHCARE


 Tufts Medical Center and Signature Healthcare have come together to provide convenient access to a wide range of advanced medical and surgical services in our community.
Through this affiliation, patients in our community will have direct access to one of the nation's leading bariatric programs: Tufts Medical Center's Weight and Wellness Center. For years, people from throughout the region have traveled to Tufts Medical Center to participate in their highly regarded weight loss program – a designated Center of Excellence.
Today, patients can access the same expert physicians and comprehensive weight-loss services in our community via Tufts Medical Center's Weight and Wellness Center at Signature Healthcare (WWC). Highly trained Signature Healthcare surgeons work in conjunction with the Tufts Medical Center program, providing patients the benefit of participating in a top weight loss program without traveling to Boston.

Our info sessions occur on the second Monday of every month from 6:00 - 7:30pm: June 13th, July 11th, August 8th,September 12th,October 17th,November 16th and December 15th.

CAPE VERDEAN DAY 2011

Come celebrate Cape Verdean Day on July 31st, 2011 with a rain date of August 7th, 2011. The celebration will be held at the Arnone School/Keith Field-135 Belmont Street from 2pm-8pm. If you would like more information or would like to participate in the  CV Celebration for 2011 scheduled for  please contact 508-559-0056.The Cape Verdean Association of Brockton, Inc. was established in 1977 and is a 501(C)(3) non-profit community based organization, whose mission is to provide education, health, civic, social and human services to the Cape Verdeans residing in the Greater Brockton area. They serve everyone, regardless of gender, religion, race, social status, political learning's or sexual preferences.

Athena AwardJoin the Metro South Chamber and HarborOne Credit Union as they present the 13th Annual ATHENA Award at the Shaw's Center in Brockton Thursday, June 16, 2011, during a special breakfast to an exceptional individual who has achieved excellence in his/her business or profession, has served the community in a meaningful way, and has assisted women in reaching their full leadership potential. The ATHENA Awards Program was created in 1982 and has expanded to over 500 cities in over 6 countries. The Metro South Chamber of Commerce believes in the values underlying the ATHENA Foundation’s philosophy of incorporating the talents and expertise of women into the leadership of our businesses, communities and government. The EXPO will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and then the Award will be presented during breakfast from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and then the EXPO will resume at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WARD 3 DENNIS EANIRI CRIME WATCH MEETING

Brockton, Ma- Ward 3 City Councilor Dennis Eaniri will host a Ward 3/Crime Watch Meeting on Tuesday, June 14th from 7-8:30 p.m. at South Middle School, 105 Keith Avenue, Extension. Topics will include a short presentation by Police Officer Bill Healy and a City budget update. You can reach Councilor Eaniri at deanir@cobma.us. All are encouraged to attend and help make a difference in the safety of Brockton. Kudos to Councilor Eaniri for keeping the residents informed and up to date and trying to make our city safer.
